Our Mission:
The mission of the Capitol Area South District is to encourage and equip United Methodist congregations in their mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Our Vision:
The vision of the Capitol Area South District is that all local churches are to be disciple-making centers that mirror the demographic composition of the community in which they are located in terms of age, ethnicity, and cultural background; and that the congregations continually grow and reach new people for Christ and strive to be open and inclusive of all God's children.
On this website you will find information and resources for the Capitol Area South District, the West Ohio Annual Conference, and the United Methodist Church.

Builders Club Support Ada First UMC
Following the devastating fire at First UMC, Ada, the West Ohio Conference Church Builders Club has made an appeal for support of the congregation in rebuilding. The West Ohio has for several years had a Church Builders Club with a list of members who have asked to be a part of regular support for designated church revitalization projects. This quarter's call to Builders Club members has been expanded so that others who wish to contribute to Ada First may have a venue to do so via online donations. 100% of all contributions go directly to the church. Information about the call, a copy of this quarter's issue of the Church Builders Club newsletter. Donations can be made by clicking HERE.

Updates on San Luis Mission Project
The Capitol Area South District is in a partnership with the Methodist congregation in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. The congregations of the CAS District have raised over $20,000 to assist with the construction of a meeting place for this congregation.
We are also seeking to raise funds to supplement Pastor Lorenzo's salary during the next three years so that he can serve the three mission congregations that he is now serving on a full time basis (currently he works another job).
Click HERE to sign up to make a commitment of support for Pastor Lorenzo's salary supplement.
Please note: The mission trip to San Luis has been postponed until we receive word that construction has begun on the new church building. After receiving word that construction is underway, a date for the trip will be set.
