Our Mission:
The mission of the Capitol Area South District is to encourage and equip United Methodist congregations in their mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Our Vision:
The vision of the Capitol Area South District is that all local churches are to be disciple-making centers that mirror the demographic composition of the community in which they are located in terms of age, ethnicity, and cultural background; and that the congregations continually grow and reach new people for Christ and strive to be open and inclusive of all God's children.
On this website you will find information and resources for the Capitol Area South District, the West Ohio Annual Conference, and the United Methodist Church.

One Day to End Homelessness
The One Day to End Homelessness campaign, from January 1 through February 29, 2012, calls on community members to contribute the equivalent of just one day’s rent or mortgage payment. Money raised will benefit the programs of the Community Shelter Board, the nationally recognized organization that funds housing and homelessness services in Franklin County.
The campaign will include activities that raise money and raise awareness among our congregations about homelessness. To facilitate communications, the Community Shelter Board provides participating organizations with a comprehensive Campaign Toolkit with fact sheets, bulletin copy, and other support. WBNS-10TV will hold a telethon during all TV news programming on January 31, 2012, to bolster our efforts.

Updates on San Luis Mission Project
The Capitol Area South District is in a partnership with the Methodist congregation in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. The congregations of the CAS District have raised over $20,000 to assist with the construction of a meeting place for this congregation.
We are also seeking to raise funds to supplement Pastor Lorenzo's salary during the next three years so that he can serve the three mission congregations that he is now serving on a full time basis (currently he works another job).
Click HERE to sign up to make a commitment of support for Pastor Lorenzo's salary supplement.
Please note: The mission trip to San Luis has been postponed until we receive word that construction has begun on the new church building. After receiving word that construction is underway, a date for the trip will be set.
